Safeway Driving School Classroom and Online Class Schedule
Safeway Driving School offers both classroom instructions and one-on-one driving lessons. The cost for the 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours of driving lessons is $370. We offer classes each month of the year. Each student receives six, one hour, individual lessons. We offer driving lessons Monday through Saturday during the school year and Monday through Friday over the summer. We recommend scheduling early for the appointments, as they book up typically 10 weeks in advance.
Online Driver Education Classes
Having trouble being able to attend class? Safeway is proud to announce their partnership with I Drive Safely. I Drive Safely is the leader in online driver education. This program will enable you to attend the 30 hours of classroom without leaving your home. The cost for the online classroom is $99.95. For more information on this program, please click here.
Students will still be required to complete six hours of behind the wheel driving in order to satisfy the requirement set forth by the State of Indiana. Safeway Driving School can provide just the driving lessons separate from the classroom. Each lesson is one-on-one, and is $60 per one hour lesson. If a student enrolls into the online class and chooses to do the driving with Safeway, they will be eligible to receive their permit three weeks prior to their first driving lesson at Safeway.

2012 Winter and Spring Class Schedule
February 27,28 and March 5,6,12,13,19,20,26, and 27th from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
The February class is full.
April 9,10,16,17,23,24,30 and May 1,7, and 8th from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Only 6 spots remain for the April Class.
May 14,15,21,22,29,30 and June 4,5,11, and 12th from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Safeway will be offering classes this summer. Please check back later for the dates of classes.
Parents take notice that starting July 1, 2010, all students must be 16 years old and 180 days prior to getting their license if they took driver education.
Students will be responsible for keeping a supervised driving log. The students must show proof of completing 50 hours with their parents. 10 of those hours must be at night. You can download the driving log below. Supervised Driving Log
